Coaches will be getting their spring/fall season team rosters about 2 1/2 weeks prior to the beginning of the season OR later (if they can't make the coaches meetings). We know you and your child are anxious to hear from your coach, (we are too) but please allow them a few days to get organized before they contact you. Many of our volunteer coaches have extremely busy lives too and some of them are brand new to coaching and need to get their bearings. If you've not heard from your child(ren)'s coach(es), please log into our site and go under the Team Central Tab or log into you app on your phone and go under your child's team.
● Teams will be determined AFTER all early bird registrations have been made.
● Players who register after early bird registration ends will be placed on teams where an additional player is needed or may be placed on a waiting list.
● Due to the volume of players and the need to keep the teams balanced, requests to place children together cannot be honored. The exception is same aged siblings who live in the same household, or the head coach's child(ren). This is actually part of the bylaws that we are required to follow.
Article Seven: Information about the Program
1. Team Assignment
a. Teams shall be formed as set forth in the National Rules & Regulations, Articles II and III
b. Team assignments of players shall be made by those persons delegated such task by the Regional Board.
c. Retention of players on any team shall be limited to the head coach’s child(ren). Otherwise, there shall be no automatic retention of players on any specific team or with any specific coach from the previous season.
d. Every attempt shall be made to balance the skill level of teams within each division.
e. Once teams are formed, no transfer of any player from one team to another may be made without the approval of the coaches of both teams involved, the age division coordinator (if any), the Regional Commissioner and the parent or guardian of the player, unless the player is 18 years of age at the time.
f. In the case where teams are involved in inter-regional play, no transfer of any player from one team to another after such teams are formed may be made without the additional approval of the Area Director and, if affecting Section play, the Section Director.
Consider too:
● Your player(s) will be making new friends within the community, making middle and high school that much more enjoyable.
● Each new coach and new team provide an opportunity for their growth and enrichment and to challenge them in a positive way.
● No one, not even the parents of the winning team likes a game where there is a blowout score. It makes people uncomfortable.
